Although forecasted is also accepted, the preferred past tense in Canadian and British English is forecast.

  • On Friday evening, the weather office forecast a sunny weekend for everyone across the province.

The preferred past participle is also forecast.

  • The temperature change forecast for the weekend raised our spirits.
  • The forecast temperature change did not occur.
  • Substantial gains were forecast by the CEO of the start-up company.
