A native or resident of Calgary, Alberta, is called a Calgarian. Although the demonym Calgarian is encountered in newspapers and magazines, it is often replaced in more formal writing by native, resident or inhabitant of Calgary, or some similar phrase.
It should be noted that Calgary is commonly used as a modifier, while Calgarian is not.
Cowtown and Stampede City are popular nicknames for this city.
